Pamela Heisler, Executive Director
Pamela earned a Masters of Public Administration specializing in Nonprofit Management from Portland State University. In 2008, she founded the Oregon Foster Youth Connection (OFYC), a program that unites current and former foster youth to improve the child welfare system through their own brand of advocacy, activism, and leadership.
Most recently she acted as the Public Engagement Project Manger for the Department of Human Services, focused on projects related to training and support for foster parents, safety in care, and improving community engagement. Currently, Pamela is the Secretary of the Board for Foster Youth In Action, which organizes a national, grassroots network of current and former foster youth. Royce Markley, Communications Coordinator
Royce began his advocacy career as a teenager working to improve the foster care system through various internships and legislative advocacy opportunities. In 2018, he achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon. Royce is currently attending Lewis and Clark College pursuing a Masters in Professional Mental Health Counseling.
Royce’s passion for child abuse prevention and foster care advocacy stems directly from his experiences growing up in foster care. Royce envisions a world where children and families have the resources and skills they need to thrive; he works every day to make that a reality. Royce lives in Tigard, OR with his fiancé.
